He asked the worker at the restaurant if he (the worker) suggested any particular condiments on the food he ordered (I can’t remember if it was a hot dog, burger, or something similar,) and then Obama listed a few examples of condiments and Dijon was one of the examples.
It was mentioned as an example of a condiment during a conversation where he asked for someone else’s opinion.
That fucking dijon mustard was the main topic of conversation on Fox for over a week. That’s how truly controversy free most of the Obama presidency was. A tan suit, feet on the desk, Dijon mustard, and their choice of dog breed were hot topics of conversation.

Think about it this way - in response to the first black president, that same half of the country made a lecherous idiot president, and our brains have been melting ever since. As hard as it is for us to see it, that half of the country feels the same way about Obama as we feel about Trump.
I think it made them realise that democracy can do things that they don't want or like and they had the sudden realisation that they hated that and that it was completely unacceptable to them.
Since that point they have worked hard to actively undermine, sabotage and destroy it.
